Received this dress the following week after I ordered it - very impressive and I give the company a full 5 stars for delivery!
The dress itself was a bit different from what I saw on the pictures and was expecting. What I first noticed when opening the package is that the lighter material making up the shoulders/arms is more of a yellow color rather than white - ew. The next thing I noticed is a cute pearl necklace - thank you for throwing that in! Next was the flower on the bodice looks very nice, it isn't folded or the petals crinkled inward, it looks like the photo. And of course, the sparkly bottom - I'll go more into this later. I love the length, I am 5'4" and it touches the floor giving me a tiny bit of a train, but not in an annoying way. If you aren't into that, some heels will definitely fix that. The first thing I found odd is that there is not a zipper or buttons on the back, instead, there is just a flap of fabric (same material as the black top) that will cover your back, be tucked in on the other side, and then "fastened" by the lacing - which is the same silver sparkly material the lower half of the dress is made of. I haven't worn it to my formal event yet, I only wore it for some minutes, so I'll have to see how well this holds in place over time. When I tried on the dress, it felt like it would be too heavy for the material making up the shoulder/arms. I am a bit skeptical on how long this material will hold. Right now, all that holds up the dress is the lighter material of the shoulders, an ok-ish clip that holds the material together behind your upper back/neck, and the odd back flap and lacing. Right now it seems fine, I wasn't able to tighten the lacing all the way, but compared to when I first put on the dress, to when I tightened some of the lacing in the back, I didn't feel as much weight. Even still, my concern lies in the general wear and tear over time, will the lighter material tear away from the black top because it's too heavy? Lastly, the sparkly silver bottom! This was the real reason I had purchased the dress. However, the glitter is coming off and getting EVERYWHERE! Expect to leave tons of glitter wherever you sit and walk. There has to be a better way to keep the glitter on the dress, right??
Overall, great delivery time! There are just the things mentioned above that I am worried about, if possible, after my event, I'll update this and include pictures. Hope this review helps the seller and future buyers alike! Thanks!
